History

In 2017 Dr. Thomas Scheidl, Dr. Fabian Steinlechner and Dr. Rupert Ursin founded qtlabs GmbH, an engineering company to incorporate scientific research results into industrial usage.

Mission

As an engineering company, qtlabs empowers global companies and governments by designing and validating quantum solutions as a neutral provider of applicable scientific knowledge.

Founders

qtlabs was founded in 2017 by Dr. Thomas Scheidl and Dr. Rupert Ursin together with Dr. Fabian Steinlechner and Mag. Sam L. Tschernitz as a startup in the field of quantum communication.

Resources

We are equipped with a state-of-the-art laser and optics laboratory. Our office is located in the center of Vienna, equipped with the latest telco infrastructure.

qtlabs has a long-term working relationship with the European Space Agency (ESA) and equally long and profound partnerships in several Projects with the European Union (EU).
